Meet your Host - Gbemi Ishola
I am a wife and mum of two lovely children and I help Kingdom minded aspiring parents to develop clarity, skills and wisdom needed to be effective kingdom parents. Over the last 5 years, I have trained and worked with over a 1000 parents and helped them gain clarity, avoid overwhelm in parenting and gain skills needed to reduce the stress and achieve great outcomes with their children. When I'm not working with parents, I work as a public health physician.

The Prepare for Kingdom Parenting Challenge Day 1 was an eye opener for me, indeed our past affect the way we parent. I pray that God will help us resolve our past. This teaching is so vital indeed. Day 2, another powerful one, I need to partner with the Holy Spirit to parent Kingdom children. My intentions must be of God not necessarily good. I am blessed daily and I want to say a big thank you to our teacher. God bless you richly ma'am for pouring your heart

The challenge was really insightful and a lot of things stood out to me. knowing where my patterns and belief systems originate from and paying attention to my behavior and how i respond to things with the help of the Holy Spirit. The conversation about wounds also left me thinking a lot, healing begins with me and I have to heal from within to enable me raise children the Kingdom way

I learnt that foundations are very important. It's like the soil for planting. It has to be prepped. So also, our mindsets need to be checked. There is a need to break that vicious cycle of trauma and abuse and it needs to start from us. Kingdom parenting isn't permissive; it is parenting with love. God is love and Love never fails.
